Fast: Verification time is typically one second
Accurate: Positive identification without rejection
User friendly: hand is simply placed on flat plate
Easy Enrollment: small 20 byte template
System Compatible: Stand-alone or systems use. Emulates card readers for easy integration into card system
Biometric Technology
The FGS 2000 is a biometric security
device that utilizes secure biometric technology for user
identification and access control. Biometrics identification is the
automatic assessment of a unique body feature or personal action, as
such biometrics systems are superior because they provide a
nontransferable means of identifying people and not just badges or
cards. |

Finger Geometry
Developed from the Well-Proven Digi-2 Finger Camera, FG S2000 is made to be very user friendly, using the most advanced 3D Geometric Technology to accurately and quickly authenticate a person's identity. The user simply touches the platen with the first two fingers of either left or right hand, and a 3-D image of the fingers is taken with the smart camera for authentication. Verification time is as fast as one second and enrollment time is less than one minute per user.
The enrollment data (template) may be stored inside the reader or transmitted to other units and/or data stores, or alternatively transferred to various types of cards such as magstrip, smart cards, barcodes, etc., for ultimate flexibility and security.
The FG S2000 reader can operate under two different modes, 1) the Identification mode, or 2) the verification mode.
|
|
Identification Mode
Under this mode no pin or card is required. The user simply touches the platen and the camera in the reader takes a 3-D image of the fingers, then searches in its database for a matching template. If a match is found (with adjustable parameters), access is given.
Verification Mode
Under this mode the user first makes an identification claim by entering a personal identification number (PIN) on the key pad, or by presenting a card to the host system. The reader then compares the template for that PIN against what is now on the platen. If they match (within the adjustable parameters) then access is given.

Designers' Options
The FG S2000 reader comes with a small and very robust casing for simple plug and play installation. However, under designers' options we can make the FG S2000 to suit design needs. Basically, the platen and the camera section of this reader can be separated from the key pad and LCD display. This offers greater flexibility in the presentation of the reader, for example, the camera can be installed in a cavity in the wall, with the keypad and display emerging on the surface of the wall.
